Huawei has launched the AppCube Hackathon to inspire innovation and encourage the use of code to build great solutions.
During a software products media engagement session dubbed ‘Empowering Digital Transformation’, several cutting-edge solutions were showcased, highlighting how Huawei’s software products can boost revenue while cutting costs.
The presented solutions included:
- AppCube: A groundbreaking platform that simplifies app development, deployment, and management, making innovation accessible to everyone.
- AICC (Artificial Intelligence Contact Center): An advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solution designed to enhance call center operations, enabling intelligent interactions, efficient management, and improved customer experiences.
- Data Operation Platform: A comprehensive tool for managing and optimizing data operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Huawei Cloud: A suite of cloud services offering exceptional performance, security, and reliability, empowering businesses to fully leverage the cloud’s potential.
These solutions empower businesses to improve interaction efficiency, respond swiftly to market demands, reduce costs, and scale operations seamlessly.
In keeping with its commitment to innovation, Huawei said it will be hosting the 1st AppCube Hackathon Summit from December 2nd to 6th, 2024, at its Offices in Kenya.
A QR code has been provided for tech enthusiasts to register for this exciting event.
Huawei noted it is dedicated to fostering digital transformation in Kenya.

Huawei Kenya’s engineering team lead, Brian Wahinya, announced that the hackathon will be an annual event designed to showcase local developers’ software products with the potential to drive Kenya’s digital economy forward.
Mr Wahinya explained that Huawei AppCube is a platform that simplifies and streamlines the process for software developers to create applications that enhance service delivery and commerce.
He added that the platform has accelerated enterprise digitization, with over 5,000 developers using it to manage business operations, facilitate virtual payments, and support education initiatives.
