Spotify, one of the world’s largest platforms for creators with over 640 million users and 250 million subscribers, has officially launched its Spotify Partner Program.

This new monetization system, available in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, and Australia, aims to help creators expand their audiences and sustain their businesses.

First unveiled during the Now Playing event, the program offers eligible creators multiple revenue streams.

These include audience-driven payouts from Spotify Premium video engagement and ad monetization on Spotify Free and other podcast platforms.

This dual approach allows creators to maintain consistent revenue while adapting to industry changes.

For Premium users, the enhancements include uninterrupted video playback, with dynamic ads removed from episodes.

Creator sponsorships, however, will remain embedded. The result is a seamless, ad-free viewing experience on any device.

Creator Enthusiasm and Early Success

Since the program’s announcement on November 13, more than 65% of eligible shows and networks have already enrolled.

Creators have praised the initiative for offering greater control and improved audience experiences.

Smart Money Happy Hour creators shared, “We’re thrilled to partner with Spotify…We love all of the product enhancements that are happening on Spotify, and we plan to use all of them to engage with our audience even more in 2025!”

Jim Harold of The Paranormal Podcast commented, “The power of longform video on Spotify gives us access to new viewers while super-serving our loyal audio audience with an added dimension. It makes 2025 an exciting new year for The Paranormal Podcast.

On their side, Zach Misischia, co-host of The Makeshift Podcast, noted, “The new Spotify Partner Program has given us a way to monetize our podcast without interrupting the listener’s experience…it can often deter listeners from continuing an episode.”

Video Growth and Future Enhancements

With video podcasts gaining popularity on Spotify, the platform is enhancing its tools for creators to reach new audiences.

Podcast clips, a feature introduced in November, allow creators to upload short-form videos that are 33% more effective than previews at converting browsers into engaged listeners.

As Spotify continues to innovate, the Partner Program and its growing suite of tools signal a new era of creator empowerment and audience engagement.

“Spotify is at the forefront of innovation,” Harold emphasized. “2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for creators and their fans alike.”
