Safaricom’s ‘Wai Ndai’ Challenge Crowns Two Car Winners

Safaricom has today awarded the first grand prize winners of its ongoing ‘Wai Ndai’ challenge by presenting them with two brand-new Suzuki Alto vehicles.

John Maina, a 34-year-old from Naivasha, Nakuru County, and Paul Njihia, a 32-year-old gamer from Ruiru, Kiambu County, were the first two monthly winners of the online gaming competition.

The challenge involves participants engaging in puzzles, arcades, and action games to win daily cash rewards, with a monthly Grand Prize of a brand-new Suzuki Alto.

Expressing his excitement after the win, John Maina said, “I am excited to have emerged as one of the monthly winners of this competition, and I am grateful to Safaricom for organising such a challenge. This car will go a long way in helping on my movements as well as businesswise, especially during these tough economic times.”

Running until February 18, 2025, the challenge has already attracted participation from more than 200,000 individuals nationwide.

Safaricom’s Chief Consumer Business Officer, Fawzia Ali, stated, “Through the ‘Wai Ndai’ Challenge, our aim is to deliver an engaging gaming proposition that resonates with our youth customers, all while keeping them entertained on the go and offering them opportunities to win exciting rewards.”

To enter and stand a chance of winning the remaining Suzuki Alto or daily cash prizes of KES 3,000, KES 2,000, and KES 1,000 in vouchers, customers can visit here, use the MySafaricom app, or dial USSD *555# and *499# to sign up for the Challenges Arena with a minimum daily subscription of KSh 10.

The ‘Wai Ndai’ challenge is a component of Safaricom Hook, designed to empower young people by leveraging technology across three key hooks.

This initiative falls under the Culture Hook, which aims to support youth in pursuing their passions, including gaming.
