Qualcomm has launched applications for the 2025 Make in Africa Startup Mentorship Program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support early-stage African startups.

As the first program of its kind on the continent, this equity-free mentorship opportunity aims to identify and nurture startups that leverage advanced connectivity and processing technologies to develop innovative end-to-end system solutions, including hardware.

Program Benefits

Selected startups will benefit from regular 1:1 mentorship with Qualcomm leaders, providing valuable guidance to help them achieve product realization.

Additionally, they will have access to skilling sessions, including masterclasses on essential topics such as product management, pitch training, intellectual property rights (IPR), and hardware architecture.

To enhance visibility, startups will participate in a Demo Day, where they will showcase their solutions and connect with key industry stakeholders, including venture capitalists (VCs), investors, accelerators, and other industry leaders.

Program Timeline

The program follows a structured timeline, beginning with the application phase from December 5, 2024, to February 16, 2025.

Shortlisted startups will be announced in March 2025, followed by the mentorship program running from April to November 2025.

The initiative will conclude with a finale and Demo Day in December 2025, offering startups a platform to present their progress and innovations.

Entrepreneurs eager to transform their ideas into market-ready solutions are encouraged to apply before the February 16, 2025, deadline.
