OceanHub Africa has introduced the sixth cohort of its OceanHub Africa accelerator program.
This 12-month initiative is designed to support up to 24 high-potential, impact-driven for-profit startups across Africa that are committed to protecting and restoring ocean health.
The program will feature two intakes in March and July 2025, with applications being evaluated on a rolling basis.
The organizers stated, “Our accelerator is dedicated to fostering environmentally responsible and profitable businesses. We aim to build an economy that actively addresses global warming, overexploitation, and ocean pollution. Through our vast network of stakeholders and facilitators, we provide an innovative hybrid program. This initiative is tailored to identify sustainable strategies that ensure consistent returns on investment (ROIs) and scalable growth opportunities across Africa.”

By enrolling in this program, you will:
- Connect with a global ocean-impact ecosystem, gaining access to leading ocean experts, mentors, self-development coaches, alumni, impact investors, as well as potential clients and collaborators.
- Engage with like-minded entrepreneurs within Africa’s Blue Economy sector and beyond.
- Receive hands-on support to accelerate your business growth, including assistance with customer acquisition, executing your Proof of Concept, and scaling through commercial contracts and fundraising.
- Participate in a hybrid-format program that includes a one-week in-person bootcamp, in-person attendance at the annual Ocean Innovation Africa Summit, and remote sessions using digital tools and communication platforms.
Additionally, participants will receive up to $75k in AWS credits and over $40k in mechanical engineering design software licenses for prototyping and virtual testing, provided by 3DExperience Lab, along with other valuable benefits.
